Wednesday Coffee

Thanks for visiting the Wednesday Coffee website. I am Lorna Ramsay and have organized Wednesday Coffee for over 10 years – it is very difficult to put into words all that Wednesday Coffee is all about and what it has achieved over those 10 years.  I can say it is an amazing Group of International Expats networking and helping one another live and enjoy Houston.
On a Wednesday during school term there is a coffee held in a member’s home from 10.30 am, for 2 – 3 hours, I provide the coffee pots and a Wednesday Coffee member supplies a small offering of food. For 10 years there has been no member fee, all I have asked for is that a member would host a coffee in return for attending one.

Wednesday Coffee has made life-long friends and has members who now live all over the world, it has sold many cars, furniture & homes, recommended many great services and people working in the Expat Community, found many pets new homes and done lots of fund raising and charity work and lots & lots more!

There are now over 900 members on my 2 gmail lists – after a lot of persuasion and not having enough hours in my day to send out all the emails each day due to my full time Real Estate business – I have at long last got this great website up and running. It is in the very early stages and I would be delighted for any additional information to help Expats relocate to Houston with as little pain as possible.  Please send any ideas, information and feedback to wednesdaycoffee@gmail.com

There is a great area under categories for classified and services advertising, items wanted, organize your own group, there is and blog spot to help discuss current and new topics and members area to help members with information on living in different areas of Houston.

I now have to pay for the website and a member of staff to update information and maintain the site so I will have to charge a fee to be a member of the site and to advertise goods for sale. The fee will be $20 per year, $3 for a non member to advertise and $2 for a member to advertise. The adverts will be for 30 days or until sold. Service providers can advertise for longer depending on how much they want to pay. You can upload quality pictures and be in charge of your own advert.

I hope that Wednesday Coffee website will be very helpful to all Expats during their move and life in Houston.  Houston is the 4th largest City in the US and known for its great social & International cultures, is truly a great city to live, play and work in and it is one of the Nation’s hidden jewels. This dynamic city offers everything from affordable homes, great shopping, world class education & amazing customer service. Wednesday Coffee has helped settle many Expats into Houston quickly and I hope to add even more value through this website.
